Franz Anton Itrich

Franz Anton Itrich was a chief carpenters mate serving in the United States Navy during the SpanishAmerican War who received the Medal of Honor for bravery.

Itrich was born November 26, 1853 in Gross Katz, Germany and after entering the navy was sent as a chief carpenters mate to fight in the SpanishAmerican War aboard the U.S.S. Petrel.
